I found Defeat MSA and MSA United when Phil was kind enough to call me and walk me through the available trials for MSA patients. We did not have the diagnosis very long at this time and knew very little except that there was no cure and it was a terrible disease. The caregivers group was a wealth of knowledge, and I am grateful for everyone who is part of this organization. After I lost my husband, I joined the widows group and even formed a small group with 2 other ladies who lost their husbands the same day I lost mine. Having a group of people who understood not just the loss but the caregiving before the loss was a huge help.
